Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC)
The Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) is a long standing committee of the Upper Canada District
School Board and is governed by the provisions established by the
Ministry of Education. The committee recommends to the Board on matters
regarding establishment, development and deliverance of special
education programs and services for exceptional students of the Board. SEAC is comprised of community parent support groups, elected school
board trustees and members-at-large who have a particular interest in
special education. Administration level employees of UCDSB support SEAC and attend SEAC meetings as well.
The Special
Education Advisory Committee normally meets at 6:30 PM on the first
Tuesday of the month, except in September and January when they are held
on the second Tuesday of the month. Meetings are usually held in the
Board Room of the UCDSB Administration
Building at 225 Central Avenue West in Brockville. All interested
members of the public are welcome to attend.
Anyone wishing to attend
the SEAC meetings are advised to call the board office to confirm the date, time and location of the meetings.
