Thousand Islands Secondary School to Host Relay for Life on May 31, 2018

May 30, 2018 (Brockville, ON)Thousand Islands Secondary School (TISS) will host their first Relay for Life on May 31st to raise money for cancer research. The 12-hour relay, organized by student council, begins with a survivor walk at 10:50 a.m. followed by the official start of the relay at 11 a.m. Walkers pay $20 each to participate in 10-man teams. TISS is also hosting a spring carnival with a bouncy castle, dunk tank and other activities on site. Students from elementary feeder schools will be invited to participate in a mini-relay between 4 and 5 p.m. Memorial candles, or “luminaries”, will be sold on site for $5 each or five for $20.
